free gay wedding photography? Hi, Im a photographer looking to turn pro, and specialise in Civil Partnerships. Im currently building my portfolio and Im looking to shoot Civil Partnerships for free. Any help or advice on where to advertise? To specialise in means to concentrate on a specific area. some photographers choose to portraiture or lifestyle photography. some wedding photographers work in a traditional sense, others are more contemporary. for me to specialise particularly in Civil Partnerships is no different.
How come so many gay men are doing wedding Photography? Eleven years ago it was all straight. Now a good percentage are gay males. (At least in my area) My wife and I are wanting to know.
What if I'm asked to photograph a gay wedding? (Mature answers only please. The reason why I'm asking this is the photography section is because I want answers from fellow photographers. If I wanted your opinion on my beliefs I would have put this in a different section. Please be respectful! =) Thanks) I am a photographer that has about 15 weddings booked for 2009 and am still constantly booking more. My only problem is.. I don't know how I would feel if I was asked to do a gay wedding. I think I would feel very uncomfortable and I wouldn't want to do it. When a couple contacts me (most of the time by email) they don't give both couples names. If I was gay, I know some people wouldn't feel comfortable about it. I would probably make it known to the photographer and ask if they were comfortable. Obviously, I would want to work with someone that was totally comfortable with me! But, I've heard a lot of stories about people getting sued for not taking business from gay people. What are my options? Can I refuse to shoot a gay wedding? This is exactly what I was talking about. If you can't even spell how am I supposed to take your opinion seriously? Obviously, you are NOT a photographer and this was a question to photographers. It's just a question. The problem I'm worried about is what if they don't tell me they're gay until after I tell them I'm free and can do it?
Where can I find good, free, stock photography for commercial use on greeting cards (sold online)? Specifically wedding related photos - bridesmaids, gay weddings.... cool stuff I can use to make cards with. Thanks

I recently moved to this area and have never had a journalism class before, and since I've started to attend my new school, we've only covered indesign and photography, soooo, I'm kinda lost? This is what I've written so far, trying to make it seem like a real article, haha so please, help me out? Just tell me what should be changed or any mistakes ive made. Keep in mind ive never done this before. =p "PrideFest is an annual gay pride event held every 3nd Sunday of July. This tradition started back in 1991 when a scarce amount of people stood in front of Colorado College and demanded for equal rights. Today family, friends, supporters and anyone who feels like going, weather its just for fun or show off their pride or support, join together to celebrate. According to the Colorado Springs pride center, who hosts the festival, there will be approximately over 10,000 attendees at this year’s PrideFest. This year’s event is held downtown at Acacia Park with the theme of “The Stonewall Revival”. There are various things PrideFest has to offer, live music preformed on 2 separate stages, dancing, the beer garden and beer garden casino, LGBT and allied mass wedding, anniversary and commitment ceremony, and of course Family Fun Day. "I loved going! Everyone was so happy, they seemed to be having a really good time," Says Evelyn, a past attendee of the event. "It was really cool to be around a bunch of people who just wanted to be accepted, I had a really good time, I plan on going again this year." PrideFest has something for everyone, but If you'd like something just between family and the younger ones, the Pride Family Fun Day, held on Saturday July 18, will be just right for you, where you’ll find ice-cream and many games to choose from. * (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) Unfortunately theres no specifics on food or games, and i cant contact the people who put it together, so i have very limited resources, haha but thank you =]
