why is gay marriage being banned from some states? thats wrong to ban it in some of the states. this is a free country . they should have no right to ban it. what do you think of gay marriage? do you think its wrong? if you do think its wrong please explain. i do not think gay marriage is wrong. people can love whoever they want. it should not matter with who the person they love is. god loves everyone. it may not be "natural" or whatever. but, its not wrong.

Despite your personal beliefs, how do you guys interpret why gays can't marry? If our government was sticking to the constitutional law of "separation of church and state", would this even be an issue? Call it whatever you want...civil unions, domestic partnership, marriage, etc--I'm not here to debate how the legal binding should be dubbed. I want to hear what you think about it... To the Jesus people who think gay marriage is evil i want you to think about this before you answer... according to the bible eating shrimp is an abomination and so is wearing two different materials in your clothing at the same time... And to top if off not even 50 years ago people were using the bible to condemn interracial marriage... do you all still think its wrong?

Not being gay myself, I have to put this question forward. One of two things can be true. If you are gay, you eithier are because you were born that way, or because you chose to be. Most will say they were born that way, which means it was not a cognisant choice. If this is true, how can you take pride in being gay? You had no choice. Thats like saying I'm proud to be white. Really? You had no say in it, why would you take pride in that which you cannot control? Pride can be taken in personal choices and achievements, but not in things you have no control over. So if you didn't choose to be gay, yet take pride in it, how are no any better than some white prider? If you did choose to be gay, how can you defend your choice from attacks from christian fundementalists? I'm not gay, not anti gay, not christian, not a white prider. Just a question.

what makes you so proud of being gay? you dont see people running around screaming straight pride. i think gay people just want attention, thats it when im proud, im not proud because im a minority as someone said if i went to africa and said white pride, i would probably be consider racist. are you really proud of being messed up in the head?

Ok gay people, you guys claim you want to just live a "normal" lifestyle. Well then, why do you feel the need to have "Gay Pride" festivals and dress with rainbows and bright colors and you feel the need to tell everyone you're gay? Now I know, not all of you do that, but I know some of you do. I've seen it. So if I had me a "Straight Pride" festival, would you be mad at us? To specialise in means to concentrate on a specific area. some photographers choose to portraiture or lifestyle photography. some wedding photographers work in a traditional sense, others are more contemporary. for me to specialise particularly in Civil Partnerships is no different.

Eleven years ago it was all straight. Now a good percentage are gay males. (At least in my area) My wife and I are wanting to know.

I don't know how I would feel if I was asked to do a gay wedding. I think I would feel very uncomfortable and I wouldn't want to do it. I assumed since I did the asking and since my little Aussie sweetheart agreed to move to New York to be with me, that I would pay for everything. But, I just called my mother to tell her the date was set and she told me that she and my father would like to pay for the whole thing. I could imagine one of the largest stadiums in the USA be rented-out for the largest gay group (polygamy) marriage/honey-moon in the history of the world. Such as over 220,000 men getting married in a very big group marriage. So large, that it's almost a corporation and ID cards have to be issued. The logistics of it are mind numbing.

I am trying to book a cruise for my significant other and I, but we aren't usually into the typical "gay" scene. Gay civil unions have just been legalized in New Jersey. I live in Pennsylvania. Say My boyfriend and I were to drive to Jesey for a civil union and come back to Pa would we still be recognized... ex. when filling out benifit papers and such. Civil unions are legal in most places and give the partners the same rights as married couples get; ie insurance benefits, next of kin issues, etc. If a gay couple is allowed a civil union why is it so important that they allow gay marriage? Isn't civil union basically the same thing?

I get told that marriage is a religious sacrament between a man and a woman and that civil union is just the basic rights of married people without the religious association. If this is true then why are they both federally recognized? And how come a straight couple can get married by obtaining a marriage license and not have to go through a church ceremony at all? This is a serious dilema I have, this isn't some sort of perverted joke. If two homosexuals have an affair at work with each other, is that fraternization and if someone complains is that discrimination? You can't tell homosexual that they can't ask someone out at work because that would be discrimination, right? But then who is allowed to have work place relationships, heterosexuals or homosexuals? (Iowa, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusets) plus 4 regions that recognize out-of-state marriages (NY, RI, NM, DC) plus California which recognizes 18,000 gay marriages from before the ban passed 6 + 4 + 1 = 11 states hell considering California & New York have large populations, you might as well say gay marriage is legal in 25 states. There is no difference between a white human and a black human’s psyche, but there are immense differences between a man and a woman’s psyche. Men and women are equal but not the same. A lot of these traditional marriage beliefs also have to do with children. People who are against same-sex marriage, believe children should think when they grow up they will get married, they should not have to think, am I going to marry a boy or a girl? Children today face enough sexual confusion without adding that. When it comes to raising children, most people who are pro traditional marriage believe that two men can not replace 1 good mother’s role in a (boy or girl) child’s development, and believe two women can not replace 1 good father’s role in a (boy or girl) child’s development. I don’t think two men could replace my mother and give me the things my mother gave me, and I don’t think two women could replace my father and give me the things my father gave me, and that’s how most of the people who are against gay marriage feel. With two states already approving same sex marriage, what are going to be the consequences of same sex couples raising children? Will this off throw and degrade society, since social norms start from the family? What are the psychological consequences of kids being raised by same sex couples?

This is a prety big issue in several states in my part of the country (northeast). Without going into my views, it seems to me that there's a consensus on several marriage issues that we could work from. I would say that there is near universal agreement that a ban on interracial marriage would be wrong. And there seems to be wide agreement that polygamous relationships should not receive the state sanction of marriage. So, where does same-sex marriage fit in? Is there an argument that supports your view, whatever it is, regarding same-sex marriage that would also support (or not contradict) your views of the other two relationships I just mentioned? Somehow I think focusing on this - and making only the arguments that are consistent across all the marriage issues I mentioned - might just possibly bring about more of a consensus, or at least a better debate. hello, we are getting married abroad. we realize that not many people can afford to come. so we would like to have a small statement in our invitations stating something like " We would love to share this special day with you.
